Day 01: Arrive Hanoi
On arrival in Hanoi, you will be met by a Luxury Travel representative and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at your leisure.

Day 02: Hanoi
Visit Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh lies in state and the cottage where he lived and worked, Also visit the Ho Chi Minh Museum. See also the One Pillar Pagoda, and hear the legend of its construction. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent restored Opera House, the Lake of the Restored Sword, the Temple of Literature and enjoy a walking tour of old Hanoi. This evening enjoy a performance of traditional art of water puppetry followed by dinner.

Day 03 & 04:  Halong Bay
Depart for World Heritage listed Halong Bay for a two day cruise through thousands of limestone islands and spend the night on a traditional junk. Explore caves, kayak, swim, sunbathe and dine on traditional Vietnamese seafood dishes. Overnight at Luxury Auco Crusie*****

Day 05: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Rise to the calm of the Bay before exploring a magnificent cave. In the afternoon fly south to the picturesque fishing village of Hoi An in the centre of the country.  Overnight at La Residence de Hue Resort*****

Day 06: Hanoi – Hue
Fly today to Hue, once the religious, economic, and cultural centre of Vietnam. You will visit Thien Mu Pagoda by boat, known for its architecture. The balance of the day is free to explore Hue on your own. Overnight at La Residence de Hue Resort*****

Day 07: Hue - Danang - Hoi An
After breakfast, the day's sightseeing starts with a visit to the Imperial Citadel modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing and the Tombs of former Emporers Tu Doc & Khai Dinh's. Travel overland through Cloudy Pass and arrive in Danang, one of the oldest cities in Vietnam, full of rich, cultural history. Visit the Cham Museum and in the late afternoon, arrive in Hoi An. Hoi An, a jewel of a town has managed to remain relatively untouched. Take a walking tour of Hoi An town. Visit the Japanese covered bridge and a Chinese communal house. Shop for art at one of the numerous galleries and enjoy the riverside. The balance of the evening is free to explore this great town. Overnight at The Nam Hai Resort*****

Day 08: Hoi An
After breakfast, you will embark on a boat cruise to visit the Cam Ha pottery village. You will experience the local villagers performing their crafts. Village elders turn potting wheels while children shape vases, bowls and plates. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at The Nam Hai Resort*****

Day 09: Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
This morning, transfer to Danang and later fly to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival transfer to your hotel. Ho Chi Minh City is the heart and soul of Vietnam. It's a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter. The streets, where much of the city's life takes place, are a myriad of shops, stalls, stands-on-wheels and vendors selling wares from blankets on sidewalks.

This afternoon you will take a city tour including visits to the Reunification Palace, formerly South Vietnam's Presidential Palace, The History Museum, built in 1929, the Viet Nam Historical Museum has an excellent collection of about 30,000 artifacts on the evolution and development of the history and cultures of Vietnam, the Notre Dame Cathedral. Inaugurated in 1880, Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the oldest and biggest Catholic churches in Vietnam. Dinner this evening is at Vietnam House Restaurant. Overnight at Park Hyatt Hotel*****

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City/Mekong Delta
Today, travel the bustling highway into the surrounding countryside where you will pass lush rice paddies carefully tended, before boarding your motorised sampan for a unique experience on the mighty Mekong Delta waterways. You will see how, to the people of Delta, the water is a lifeline - the focus of all daily activity - as you journey through a maze of tributaries and fruit plantations. Enjoy a sample of delicious fruit in the shade of a fruit farmer's garden before continuing via even smaller waterways to lunch, where the specialty is a remarkable dish of 'elephants ear fish'. Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Afternoon visit this amazing site. Built more than a thousand years ago, it consists of more than 100 temples which are a reflection of a once grand social and administrative metropolis. In the early evening, enjoy a spectacular sunset at Angkor Wat. The balance of the evening is at your leisure. Why not go shopping at the Siem Reap Night Market? Day 12: Angkor Wat
This morning, you will visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world, with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt. It is unlike all the other Khmer temples in that it faces west, and is inspired by 12th Century Hinduism. Its symmetrical towers are stylized on the modern Cambodian flag. Conceived by Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat took an estimated 30 years to build. It is generally believed to have been a funeral temple for the king. It has been occupied continuously by Buddhist monks and is well preserved. Intricate bas-reliefs surround Angkor Wat on four sides. Each tells a story. The most celebrated of these is the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, which is located on the east wing. In it the Naga serpent, is twisted by demons and gods to spurt out the elixir of life.

This afternoon, visit Ta Prohm, the temple that has been left largely in its natural state since its "re-discovery" by French explorers. Surrounded by jungle, its labyrinth of stone hallways is overgrown with the roots and limbs of massive banyan trees, which envelop the stone like tentacles. It is one of the largest temples at Angkor, dedicated in 1186. Historians have noted its mystical charm. Continue to Preah Khan, "The Sacred Sword", an extensive monastic complex covering over 56 hectares built by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a monastery and teaching complex. It is one of a group of temple complexes situated on a small 'Baray'. Preah Khan is the site of the World Monuments Fund 'prime' Asian project a painstaking renovation whilst maintaining it's mysterious allures and superb original structure. Day 13: Siem Reap to Bangkok
This morning, drive to Ton Le Sap Lake, the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia. Cruising on a small vessel, you will see floating homes and small fish farms and will experience daily lake life. On the way back to Siem Reap, you will visit a development project teaching young adults stone and wood carving at Les Artisans d'Angkor with its traditional crafts. This afternoon, you will be at leisure until your short flight to Bangkok. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Balance of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at Madarin Oriental Hotel*****

Day 14: Bangkok
Today's full day sightseeing includes a visit to Thailand's most colourful Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Afterward, proceed to visit Tiger Temple Saiyoke Kanchanaburi. The Monastery was built in 1994. The name of the monastery was given by Luangta Maha Bua Yanasampanno, the famous meditation guru. The objectives of the monastery are to propagate Buddhism and to conserve forests and wildlife as well as currently the project of building a "New Home for the Tigers" on 12 Acres. This Tiger Island will serve for tiger conservation and for studying their behavior. Warning: - Please do not wear any bright colored clothes, especially red. You will not be able to approach the tiger if you wear a bright outfit. In the evening, you will embark on a moonlit dinner cruise aboard the "River of Kings" on Bangkok's majestic river - the Chao Phryaya - which is a delightfully romantic way to pass an evening. Savour the sights, sounds and incomparable scenery of the Bangkok skyline by night whilst enjoying a delicious meal as you gently cruise upriver. Overnight at Madarin Oriental Hotel*****

Day 15: Bangkok Sightseeing
Today visit the famous Grand Palace and glorious temples including the Reclining Buddha. Then travel on a longboat through the Klongs (canals) to see a different kind of city life. Finally visit the Temple of Dawn. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at Madarin Oriental Hotel*****

Day 16: Bangkok/North America
Transfer to the airport for your next onward flight to North America or to other destinations within South East Asia arriving the same day.
